LED Lighting Refit for the King Air

The engineering resources at PWI supply existing and potential modification centers with engineering support to research and develop a custom LED lighting system, unique to make and model aircraft. PWI has an ongoing relationship with LED manufacturers that allow for the latest LED Lighting products to be developed to replace interior lighting systems that currently use fluorescent lighting. PWI's LED Lights have a uniform CRI (Color Rendering Index), light output and color temperature. They operate cooler and with less power than other LED lighting systems on the market.

COLD CATHODE Fluorescent LIGHTING (CCFL)

PWI pioneered the use CCFL lighting in general aviation back in 1972. Since its first introduction, PWI has advanced the technology and manufacturing of CCFL lights to the highest level. With our engineering and manufacturing capabilities PWI can manufacture any color temperature including a full spectrum of colors, and any shape or size of light. Due to the energy efficiency and long life PWI’s lights, we have adapted them for numerous other markets including commercial, residential, and recreation vehicle lighting applications.

NOVA 12 Features

  • Compact Size 3.5” X 1.75”
  • Lower operating temperatures than other products on the market.
  • Output Protection Circuitry to prevent injury or damage to the unit in the event of breakage of the light or a short circuit.
  • Rugged and Robust Construction. The Nova 12 has an ABS plastic housing and a metalized printed circuit board.
  • Efficient: The NOVA 12 is 90% efficient resulting in lower operating current and wasted energy that is transferred into heat.
  • The Nova 12 draws half the current of an equivalent incandescent lighting systems therefore prolonging battery life by 50%.
  • Light Weight, the unit weighs less than 6.5 OZ.
  • Simple installation and mounting. Requires only 2 mounting screws and connecting 4 wires.
  • Regulated Output Current. This helps to maintain uniform and consistent light output regardless of lamp lengths or variations in input voltages and current. This also increases the life of the lamp.
  • Anti -Strobing feature eliminates light flickering.
  • The NOVA 12 is repairable.

HOT CATHODE FLuorescent LIGHTING (HCFL)

PWI manufactures a line of 28VDC Hot Cathode Fluorescent Lighting Systems. These HCFL systems are an economical alternative for certain lighting situations. The HCFL system utilizes standard T5 Florescent bulbs and is available in both 6” and 12” configurations.
